Never attempt to repair your Nissan electric forklift truck or electric pallet jack if you are not properly trained. Keep in mind that there are many different types of forklifts which are made by different companies. Each company has its own very specific procedures when it comes to maintaining proprietary forklift.  The best option is usually for you to contact your Nissan forklift truck dealer directly, so that they can come out and inspect the forklift.

Always make sure that you inspect for any leaking fluids before you start your Nissan pallet jack truck. If your machine has any leaking hydraulic fluid, make sure that you have inspected immediately by the authorized forklift truck dealer. Leaking hydraulic fluid is usually fixed by replacing the hydraulic seal kit on the forklift.

Many accidents occur in a warehouse because forklift drivers accidentally tailgate, or follow too closely. Keep in mind that you should never be following a forklift truck closer than 20 or 30 feet. This is especially true if the forklift truck has a load. You do not want to be accidentally hurt or injured if the forklift in front of you accidentally drops the forklift truck load.

Wet and slippery conditions are also a very big factor when it comes to forklift truck accidents. Make sure that you always use extra caution whenever you are working in a slippery environment. By slowing down an extra mile, you can reduce your chances of being involved in a Nissan forklift accident.

Many accidents occur because of unsafe forklift operating conditions. It is very important that you always wear adequate safety gear such as your safety belt. This is very important to make sure that you do not accidentally fall off of your forklift truck. Accidental falls can be very deadly as you can accidentally become crushed underneath the forklift truck machine. If your Nissan forklift truck is missing a safety belt, notify your supervisor immediately.
