Moen Kitchen Faucets are known for their reliability.  Their motto is “Buy it for Looks, Buy it for Life”.  Installing Moen Faucets are a great to increase the resale value and update the look of your home kitchen.  Remodeling your kitchen can be a fun project, if you have basic plumbing abilities.

There are many different finishes for faucets such as stainless steel,  antique nickel, brushed nickel, or oil rubbed bronze.  Make sure that you pay close attention with regards to coordinating the finish through the entire kitchen.  While they don’t have to be the exact same, the tonal colors should be all the same (include your drawer knobs, faucets, shower heads, etc).

When you are remodeling your kitchen, you can install your own moen kitchen faucet with some basic tools and Teflon tape.  If you are keeping the same sink, be sure you get the measurements for the holes in the top of the sink basin, so that you can make sure you have maximum compatibility.  There are many different lines in Moen fixtures such as Adler, Anabelle, Aquasuite, 90 Degree, Boutique, Caldwell, Chateau, Renzo, Traditional, Vestige, and Wickston.

Moen Kitchen Faucet Innovations

The Moen company was started by Al Moen, in 1959.  Moen faucets have guarantees that their finishes will last, and will also warrant against leaks, drips, and finish defects.  This is very important, as imitators will often use cheaper finishes and sell inferior products.  One of the biggest innovations by Moen is the one piece washerless cartridge which prevents the annoying faucet drip.

Kitchen faucets are used every day, so it is important for you to purchase a model which is going to suit your needs.  If you do a lot of dishes by hand, you may want to consider purchasing a pull out faucet or separate sprayer.  Pullout faucets are extremely convenient as you do not have to switch hardware in the middle of rinsing off your plates.

If you are having trouble choosing a style, you may want to go to your local bookstore and thumb through the latest magazines.  It can be hard to imagine what a finished product will look like without seeing the big picture.  Kitchen magazines will show the most current trends in kitchen faucet hardware, which will be color co-ordinated to match your personal taste and style.

In July 2010, Moen launched the Finley pullout kitchen faucet.  This is a very modern faucet, with Spot Resist finish technology, to prevent spotting on the fixture plating (i.e. fingerprints, waterspots).  Another advantage with Moen faucets is their proprietary Hydrolock installation system.  This system makes an audible clicking noise when hardware is joined together, letting you know that you have a perfect fit on your Moen Kitchen Faucet.
