Hyster electric pallet jack training and safety

Your Hyster electric pallet truck is an extremely powerful machine. Be sure that your staff is properly trained on safe forklift operations. Many accidents occur because of inadequate training in most warehouses. Here are some tips which new forklift drivers should follow, if they are not doing so already:

Be sure that you are always looking in the direction of travel. Looking to the side or behind you can be very dangerous as you cannot see any imminent dangers which are right in front of you. Whenever you are operating your fork lift truck in reverse, be sure that you check all of your blind spots. Whenever your vehicle is moving, never adjust the load on your Hyster electric pallet jack truck. Doing so is very dangerous as you can upset the center of gravity and increase the chances of having your forklift truck rollover. Rollover accidents are very dangerous and operators can be killed if they are not careful.

If you're operating a forklift truck outdoors, be extremely cautious whenever you are working near railroad tracks. Never part a fork truck closer than 8 feet to the sides of railroad train tracks. Keep in mind that most freight trains are very wide, and you do not want to actually involved in a collision. If you need to cross train tracks with your Hyster electric fork truck, always make sure that you are crossing at a slight angle.

If you are moving your forklift to move up a hill, always make sure that your load is in front of you. This will help you maintain your account center of gravity under Hyster electric pallet jack. If you need to stop your machine for any reason, make sure that your parking brake is always applied before you exit your forklift truck.
