Hyster Electric Pallet Jack

Buying a Hyster electric pallet jack can greatly improve the efficiency in your warehouse compared to using manual pallet jack trucks.  You can search online if you are interested in purchasing Hyster material handling equipment.  There are many dealers online where you can find new, used, and refurbished electric pallet trucks. Hyster is a very well known brand which makes a wide range of material handling equipment, including Hyster container handler forklifts, which can lift over 100,000 lbs (there are used in marinas and for maneuvering ISO containers).  Some of the more popular motorized hand lift trucks in the Hyster lineup include the B60z, W60Z, C60Z, W25-30ZA, and the revolutionary Hyster Hybot. 

If you are thinking of automating your warehouse you may also be thinking about purchasing a Hyster diesel forklift instead.  This may not be appropriate depending on your operating environment.  Diesel forklift trucks require adequate ventilation due to the combustion fumes.  This means that they are typically not well suited for indoor locations. 

The biggest advantages to the electric pallet truck is that they are quiet, costs less to operate (electricity costs less in comparison to having to purchase diesel fuel), they have less moving parts, and do not have any issues with carbon monoxide or other gases produced by IC forklifts.  Hyster electric pallet jack trucks also use cushion wheels which are extremely smooth and have a very low rolling resistance.  This means that it takes less energy compared to the tires on pneumatic forklift trucks.

The biggest disadvantage with electric pallet jacks is that they do not work very well if you are in a warehouse environment which runs multiple shifts simultaneously. Keep in mind that your electric pallet truck needs to be recharged, compared to diesel forklifts which can run continuously as long as you have fuel available.

It is extremely important that you properly maintain your electric batteries.  This is usually the most expensive component which needs to be replaced.  Make sure that you always check the water level if your pallet truck batteries.  You can also purchase an external monitoring device so that you can be automatically notified if the water level is low on your Hyster electric pallet jack trucks.  You can buy pallet jack parts, such as pallet jack wheels online should you need to replace worn out parts.
