Clark forklift parts

Clark forklift parts can be purchased online if you do not have a dealer nearby.  In order to find the right part for your forklift, you will have to have the serial number handy.  If your serial number has an “RKF”, that means that it is a gray market forklift truck, originally intended for the Korean market.

Your forklift serial number is usually on a metal plate located in the hood of the operator compartment, or on the instrument panel.  Clark does not provide old service manuals for older models.  You will need to contact an aftermarket parts dealer or other Clark Dealers.  If you do not have your machine serial number you can also use the PartsPRO system to find and reference part numbers for your Clark fork lift.

You can purchase various replacement parts for your forklift such as load wheels, poly tires, forks, transmission components, electronic control cards, batteries, LPG tanks, paint and electric DC motors, steering axles, and remanufactured engines.

Clark has trucks ranging from 1,500 to 18,000 lb. lift capacities.  Clark tires come in a variety of different compounds from air pneumatics, solid pneumatics, skid steer and cushion press ons.  The different compounds are oil resistant, steel reinforced, fiberglass reinforced, etc.  There are many different tire tread types available for your forklift such as smooth, traction, lug, grooved and ribbed.

Rebuilt forklift parts

Clark offers a wide range of remanufactured parts as well, such as transmissions. Remanufactured transmission units for your forklift come with a 6 month 1000 hour (limited) warranty. Before a transmission unit is offered for resale, they are completely disassembled and pressure washed in industrial washing machines. All “wear items” such as bearings, seals, sealing rings, clutches, separator plates, springs, and thrust washers are automatically discarded and are always replaced.

Purchasing remanufactured parts is a great way to save money.  Certain components, such as hydraulic need to be rebuilt or replaced after a certain number of operating hours.  If you have an older Clark forklift, you may have to check around in order to find the right parts.  If your local Clark dealer does not stock the required part, they can always have it ordered for you.

Clark forklift training and safety:

Safety belts are some of the more important pieces of equipment which you need to check on your forklift. Many forklift drivers are accidentally killed every year, because they are unintentionally ejected. This is especially true, if you are using your forklift truck and rough terrain, or in slippery environments.

Always make sure that your forklift truck operators are thoroughly trained and understand the physics behind using forklift machinery. It is very important for them to understand concepts such as center of gravity, to minimize the chances of having forklift trucks accidentally rollover.

Tailgating another forklift truck operator can be very dangerous. Make sure that you never follow another forklift truck closer than 20 feet behind them. Following too closely can be very dangerous, especially because the vehicle in front can create visual obstructions.

Performing standard maintenance is extremely important to insure that your Clark forklift does not fail in a critical situation.  A scheduled PM plan can prevent catastrophic failures and unanticipated downtime of your Clark forklift.

Buying "rebuilt" instead of new is the best advice I give as well. New forklift parts, and industrial equipment in general, is super expensive!
