2011 Cyber Monday Deals?
The term Cyber Monday actually only started in the year 2005. It was coined by the website Shop.org. The reason for that was because of financial forecasting statement which signified that over 70 % of online ecommerce retailers saw their sales (revenue) dramatically increase on the Monday right after the Thanksgiving (Turkey Day) holiday time.
In 2009, comScore had reported consumers spent nearly 1 billion dollars online shopping. This was the second largest shopping day for 2009. The most interesting part about this buying statistic is that most of these sales were made from people who were doing their shopping online at work (thus obviously lowering their overall work productivity). There are many different ways to find Cyber Monday shopping deals. One of the best ways to get in on early deals is to make sure that you belong on the mailing list of the biggest e-commerce sites you wish to shop at such as Best Buy (for electronics), Walmart, NewEgg, Dell, Staples, etc. Keep in mind that as a reward for staying on their mailing list they will often release information first to those customers before releasing information about their Cyber Monday deals to the rest of the general shopping public. Another alternative would be to visit websites such as fatwallet.
These websites offer large forums where shoppers will share deals with each other. They will share every day shopping deals, cyber sales, Black Friday offers, etc. They will also offer special codes so that you can participate in promotional sales and discounts which may be otherwise not available to the general public. When you are shopping for Cyber Deals be sure you read the fine print and follow the directions exactly. If you do not do that, you may be in for surprise if the price isn’t exactly what you were expecting. For example, some stores may offer free or low cost shipping (such as Overstock.com) but you must purchase a certain over a certain dollar amount in order to benefit from the free or discounted shipping deals. If you frequently purchase goods online, one of the best shipping deals will come from joining programs such as Amazon.com prime shipping.
Many retailers online will have limited quantities available online for their latest and greatest bargains. Most likely you will need to be one of the first people up at midnight in order to cash in on those types of bargains such as deep discount HDTV's. Retailers such as Best Buy intend to have aggressively priced electronics including storage for computers.
